How can we help?

First, make sure MacWriteBuddy is switched on in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility: macOS needs that permission before any app can read the text you select and put the fixed version back. Then check that the app isn’t switched off in MacWriteBuddy’s Settings › Apps, and that MacWriteBuddy isn’t paused from the menu bar.

Select the text you want fixed first, then press ⌃⌥G (or the shortcut you recorded). If another app already uses the same keys, record a different shortcut in Settings › Shortcuts. The menu bar menu shows whether a model is ready and which one MacWriteBuddy is using.

Enter the email you used to buy MacWriteBuddy Pro in the “Lost your license key?” form on this page, and we’ll send every MacWriteBuddy Pro license for that address to it again.

On the Mac you no longer use, open Settings › License and choose Remove License, which frees that Mac’s seat. Then paste your key into Settings › License on the new Mac and click Activate. A license works on up to three Macs at a time.

MacWriteBuddy checks for new versions and lets you know when one is ready, and you can check any time with Updates at the foot of the Settings sidebar. You can also download the newest version from this site and drag it into Applications to replace the old one.

Remove any downloaded models in Settings first if you like, then drag MacWriteBuddy from Applications to the Trash. Your settings, memories, and recent fixes are kept in ~/Library/Application Support/MacWriteBuddy; delete that folder to remove them too.
